Black High Tea
In this feature length documentary, a Black Queer woman reclaims joy and preserves her mother’s living legacy of tea parties. She seeks to hold space for connection and healing that affirms Black women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and their allies in a post-pandemic world.

In March 2025, I was selected as a 2025 Fellow for the For Us, By Us Filmmaker Incubator presented by Filmmakers Collaborative SF, Re-Present Media, and the National Endowment for the Arts. The program will be supporting my upcoming film, Black High Tea, which documents my heartfelt journey as a Black Queer woman on a mission to reclaim my joy and preserve my mother’s living legacy of tea parties — spaces of intergenerational connection, resilience, and healing.
